Biografie
Profesor dr. ing. Ioan Salomie: n. 18 August 1953, Ciurila, jud. Cluj; Professor Emerit, Universitatea Tehnica din Cluj-Napoca (UTCN), Facultatea de Automatica si Calculatoare. Absolvent al Institutului Politehnic din Bucureşti (1978), specialitatea Calculatoare. Inginer la Institutul de Proiectari pentru Automatizari (IPA) Filiala Cluj-Napoca (1978-1981), Inginer la Intreprinderea de Electronica Industriala si Automatizari (IEIA) Cluj-Napoca (1981 – 1983). Doctor in inginerie electrica (1994), asistent universitar, sef de lucrari, conferentiar, profesor (1983 – 2021) la UTCN. Fondator si director al laboratorului de cercetare “Distributed Systems Research Laboratory (DSRL)” (1996 – 2021) si apoi consultant stiintific si tehnic (2021 – prezent). Research fellow University of Nottingham UK (1993), Visiting profesor Politecnico Torino (1997), Universitat Hamburg (1999), Profesor invitat Loyola University in Maryland, USA (1996), University of Limerick, Ireland (2000-2004). Examinator extern didactic si cercetare, University of Limerick, Ireland (2004 – 2007). A publicat 130 lucrari stiintifice WoS si 9 carti in domeniile sisteme distribuite pe scara larga, centre de date eficinte energetic, retele electrice inteligente, sisteme inteligente, si a coordonat 12 teze de doctorat. Director (13 proiecte) si membru in echipa (17 proiecte) in granturi de cercetare EU FP7, H2020, Horizon Europe, AAL si nationale PN2, PN3, PN4, CNMP, CEEX. Coordonator proiect EU “CONED – Network for Web based Education in European Studies” (1998-2001). Coordonator consiliu programe doctorale pentru Automatica si Calculatoare IOSUD UTCN (2014 – 2020), Membru CNATDCU sectia Calculatoare (2012-2016). Premiul “Constantin Budeanu” al Academiei de Stiinte Tehnice din Romania pentru “Solutii inteligente pentru Ecosisteme Eficiente Energetic” (2018). Membru ACM. H-index: Google Scholar 27, WoS 16, Citari: Google Scholar 3540, WoS 1079.
